BIO.

Kinson Lau’s love and passion for the hospitality industry has always been the main driving force in all that he does. From starting out in BOH and transitioning to FOH, he has been fortunate enough to be able to learn and grow in his career through working at various styles of restaurants and bars in San Francisco, where in 2005 he attained his first restaurant job on the weekends while working full time in a 9 to 5 job.

With nearly a decade of experience including opening two bars before departing San Francisco, Kinson has utilized all that he has learned to further challenge himself and others to grow and extend the ideal of hospitality outside of bars and restaurants to others in each city’s local community.   

Mainly calling San Francisco and most recently Las Vegas as his two homes, the upcoming venture to Chicago will hopefully be the third city that becomes another home as well. Kinson looks forward to the continual new challenges that this career in hospitality may bring and strives to give back any way he can whether it be devoting time to great causes, passing on knowledge to other young professionals in this industry, or simply being a support system to others in need.
